Fan airflow rating Quadra 700 PSU

I recently got a Quadra 700 and I’m planning to replace the PSU fan with a silent Noctua. I found in the specifications of the original fan that it has an extraction rating of 43,86m³/h and noise 19dB.

The Noctua Redux (grey) series have extraction ratings (1200 RPM, 35.8m³/h, 9.1dB; 1800 RPM, 53.3m³/h, 17.1dB) but I can’t find any for the Noctua Premium (brown).

So, to anyone who did the upgrade to the Noctua Premium, how did you determine that the effect is sufficient? The whole point is to make it more quiet, so I don’t want to to have more effect than necessary.

Is this the fan? It should be a decent match, quieter with more CFM.

Thanks, true - that should do it.

Jumping on this old thread, I think I am going to get the NF-A8 PWM for my Quadra 700 power supply. I finally got to see a Noctua fan up close in an LCIII that I bought from @jmacz. I am in love with that fan!

So it looks like the NF-A8 PWM has a 4-pin connector. Did you all just splice up the 4-pin connector and simply plug in the yellow and black wires?
