Exo68k/ExoPPC

Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere here, but with LGR's recent video on ExoDOS's Win95 release it made me think of all the hours I lost playing games in that era but on our family Performa and later my brother's iMac G3 DV, mainly from the MacAddict magazine CDs and whatever we could find that supported Macintosh. My question is, how feasible is an all in one launcher/installer setup for windows or linux using something like basilisk or qemu? I ask about those systems specifically because apple silicon is probably a taller ask.

Did you see this thread - Mac OS 8/9 launcher app just released:

An OS X launcher for Classic and later games would be good too. Only thing is many early OS X games are very incompatible with later releases so not sure how you'd get around that in terms of file size/setup

Oh that is sick, I'm gonna have to try and get that loaded up on one of my vintage machines! but the thrust of my question is pure emulation for when you don't have access to the old machines, since they are only getting older and older. For a first go Id probably focus on pre-OSX stuff, like Ambrosia's catalog, Pangea, other shareware titles, etc. Obviously a game designed for windows 3.11 won't just boot up on a modern machine, I gather there's been lots and lots of tweaking in the backend of DOSBox to get them to behave correctly. But I know next to nothing about Qemu and Basilisk, so thusly question
