eMac G4 and "Tilted" display

Ok, here's something that has intrigued me. I have looked at like 5 different eMacs, and they ALL have something in common. I.E. the Tube is in their "Crooked". If I adjust the image it displays on the CRT, it appears to be tilted to one side (like rotated to the right) compared to the front bezel. It seems that every eMac I have come into contact with has had this. Did apple design these things so crappy that they couldn't fit the tube in right?

It really bothers me when I look at it, and it can downright frustrate me (I am obsessive about stuff) when I look at it and I see extra CRT Display space, but in order to get the picture to line up with the display bezel, i have to tilt the picture to the left in order for it to be perfectly level.

Can anyone shed light in on this?

I mean, i know apple can be sloppy, but this is ridiculous

Go into the Monitors control panel and if the eMac is anything like my iMac, it should allow you to adjust the rotation.

If not, and you know about CRT safety and all, blah blah blah, you'll have to grab a copy of the Apple Service Manual, open the case and make live adjustments.

I just fired up mine that I got off a forum member here and its display is nice and straight. I've never see the problem you speak of. Perhaps its just a problem with one version of the eMac? BTW, mine is the USB 2.0 version with the 1.25ghz processor.

I also think there is some sort of tilt control. I've done it on iMac G3s before and it's also a manual control on many other monitors and my Sony TV.

If not, you can always adjust the yoke inside. If you've ever worked inside a compact Mac before it's very similar. Do not touch the red suction cup!!!

it's not the picture that is tilted, it seems the ENTIRE tube is tilted. Like if you look at the area where the picture can actually display, it stars high on one end, and goes lower to the other. Mind you, the picture can be adjusted to be straight, it's just that the tube is off-kilter. Almost like the tube isn't in the frame right. I have gone in like 4x to straighten it, and there is nothing to straighten. It doesn't budge no matter what I do.

These are all 700->1Ghz eMacs that I am talking about. It's annoying when you see the picture not fitting to the tube :-/
