Early Revision B Mac II Board?

Hi,

Working Mac Ii here. Was planning on recapping this until I took the motherboard out. Labeled as a rev B what I can tell this looks like a mutant rev A. You can see things are labeled differently, using electrolytic capacitors but some missing as well such as c15 and c16. Anyone seen something similar and should I recap?IMG_3524.jpeg

Thanks

Rick

Those don't leak as much as the surface mount electrolytics do on the later machines.

BTW: when the batteries die, I would consider reaching out to reactive micro over in Bremerton. Pick up a couple of the battery holders George sells. Mount them to the front wall of the case, then extend the wires to reach the battery legs. That way, you can use AAA batteries instead.

Interesting, those all the parts designators are indeed different from what you'd find on the usual first generation Mac II boards.
Both of mine are labeled 820-0163-03. One of them has all capacitors installed, the other one looks like yours with locations C11, C13, C15 and C16 (they're named different obviously on my boards) not stuffed.
