Does anyone have information on this Disk ][ drive

I found this drive in a pile of ][ drives and have never seen another one. I can not find any info on google so I thought I would ask here. Everything on it looks normal but no sticker on the bottom and the back does not have the typical apple sicker it has one that says "Property of apple computer inc. to be returned with defective exchange module" and I have a picture here thank you for any input.

i was thinking it might be a loaner too. I may explore the inside and see if it is different or the same as others.

Maybe a display model? I'm guessing this one's pretty early, probably one of the first ones made.

Is there a serial number anywhere?

well I decided to throw it on ebay and I got a strange email and figured out what it is, it is a base part that is used to ship replacement parts then they are installed and the defective disk drive guts are re attached to the bottom part and send back to apple.
