When I put the DiimoCache driver in the Control Panel, it freezes OS7.1.1 when starting up. I have to remove it to get the machine to boot again. So, how can I enable the cache?

OK... figured it out. Put the DiimoCache 2.2.1 into the Extensions folder. Then, all is well. You can put an alias into the Control Panel for easy access.
