Desktop Printer Thingy

In OS 8, when you connect to a printer, it seems to pop up on the desktop. I just did this on my 2300c, and now that printer on my desktop won't go away. When I drag it to the trash, a new one pops up! Any ideas on how to get rid f this bugger? Apologies for the noobishness of this question, just never done this under 8.1 before. Danke

Disable Desktop Printer in extensions manager and reboot

I used to hate that little bugger too! If memory serves I think you can also drag it to a non-conspicuous place like in a folder somewhere. I'm glad they got rid of it. I dance on its grave. It was like Windows; forcing you to do everything its way.
