Corrupted Directory file in MacTools Backup?

Folks, I came across a set of backup floppies (800k) that I made way back in January 1992.  I have no idea what's on them, and MacTools Central Point Backup 4.0 (aka "Central Point Restore") won't open them.  The first disk contains 1 file named "Backup1.Data" and FileBuddy shows this about that file:

Type: BACK

Creator: PCB4

The last disk (disk "8") in the backup set has two files on it:

Backup.Dir (hourglass icon)

Backup8.Data (blank document icon)

FileBuddy shows me the following about Backup.Dir:

Type: BKHS

Creator: CPBK

That "CPBK" seems to indicate it is Central Point Backup, and double-clicking Backup.Dir launches Central Point Restore 4.0; but I immediately get a dialog that says:

Error: An error occurred while opening the restore window. (Corrupted data in file)

I checked that floppy with MacTools and Norton and get a clean bill of health -- no bad blocks either.  So I am curious if this really was made with Central Point Backup. If it was, I'm wondering if there's a way I can rebuild the directory file based on the contents of the disks in this backup.  Seems silly there wouldn't be a way to get around a corrupted directory file.  I tried changing the File Type & Creator of "Backup8.Data" and launching MacTools Backup, but that didn't work either.

I would appreciate hearing your thoughts.

P.S.  I have known-good Central Point Backups, and checking the data disks (files have a disk-stack icon) with FileBuddy shows:

Type: BKDT

Creator: CPBK

Thanks to the Macintosh Repository, I was able to download MacTools Deluxe 1.2 which recognized my backup and allowed me to do a full restore.  Yeah!

(I tried MacTools version 2 as well but without success, which shows that Type=BHKS & Creator=CPBK are indeed files created by MacTools Backup version 1.x exclusively.  Odd that newer versions won't read old backups, but such is life.)
