Colorful Mac128 with SCSI port?

Mac128

Nice colorful iMac 128K (easy folks, the damage has been done, just enjoy it). I'm guessing this thing at one point had a painted blue mouse. Maybe even a green external drive. Funny thing is, I saw the yellow keyboard and wondered at first why they didn't paint it too!

Aside from the curiosity of primary colors, I'm wondering about the port in the back. I'm pretty sure this was one of the many add-on SCSI Solutions based in the connector and not some kind of video. Anybody know how these holes were cut into the case? This one looks pretty clean, so I'm wondering how this kind of upgrade was accomplished. Were users just subject to the Dremel skills of their local Mac repairman?

You can see the upgrade board on top of the logic board. It also has an 800k floppy drive. That is an interesting place for the SCSI port, though. Most of the ones I have seen have been mounted in the battery cover.
