I know I got a mac plus with a killy clipped accelerator I need to figure out what to do with some day.
The thing is, we are limited by the current rating of the transformer. If you drive it too hard, itll saturate and become problematic or fry it alltogether.
The starting point is upgrading the chopper transistor, and modifying the feedback network to allow for slightly more current draw. This will allow the transformer to produce more output current. At the cost of driving the transformer harder. This can cause saturation of the core, or all kinds of unwanted things. I really dont think it will be that bad. but if we want to draw a couple of amps extra we could be in for a surprise, transformer could overheat and fail.
