Cleaning rusty ports/connections

Any recommendations on how up clean up old rusty ports i believe my se/30 had spent several years in a garage so the ports are some what rusty (be it surface rust) is it just a wire brush and care or is there some miracle way to clean them up that you guys have found?

I'd go some fine steel wool/sandpaper, wet sand, then once dried spray some WD40 on the ports to prevent further rust

Try white distilled vinegar or denatured alcohol on a Q-Tip?

I havent got a dremel but my suster has so defo seems let effort way i'll see what i can do this weekend before i box it up and send to you
