Classic I / Classic II, No Internal Sound Mystery

read it with your ohm meter
Reading was 60 ohm and 58.6 ohm. Third parts board was 58.7 ohm.

Correction to last post, wattage is 0.25 not 2.5 at I wrote. Have a bit of a sinus infection. Third parts board has very clear printing on speaker. Picture attached.

I think it works out as a fine Test track, for mac speaker performance testing analysis. A fine range Low's - High's - Mid's

The song... oh god the song....

I was a kid when that came out, and I hated it then. LOL.

Its almost as bad as the song thats went viral, "The fox". That song is just....... (loss for words)

At least the Fox song was a joke - the artist was the U.S. equivalent to Weird Al. He made it in jest, never thinking it would take off.

Yea, well it took off. and it plays so often that it burns into my brain. lol. It seems like just about every radio station is playing it, and im hearing it on internet radio often too. Almost just like that LMFAO song a couple years back, sexy and i know it, which ironically similar category as the song being discussed earler.

I like sir-mix-alot. I dunno too much about that song though.

But ALOT of his other work gets un-noticed. hes written a TON of songs, and quite a few using the Roland-808. The famous 808 cowbell LOL.

Well it's official my classic had a bad speaker. Tested the extra boards I have and out of seven six were bad. So I put in a good one and boom sound. So I need to solder it in (it's late) then screw it in then button it up.

Im beginning to wonder, Disassemble the dead speaker.

I wonder if the coil is being corroded/eaten away by the enamel they used to coat the voice coil wire to give it its insulative properties.

awesome.. I am going for shoddy materials/build quality.

or maybe when the caps go, creates an adverse effect, sending too much current to the speaker blowing the coil.
