Case scratch removal - please share your techniques

Hello

I haven't seen any info on how to remove scratches and buff the plastics on the G4 towers.

If someone here has done it successfully please share.

I will post what I have done a little later because I have to take photos of the product I used, which added a brilliant shine to the case, but it was inadequate at removing deep scratches, only hairline scratches were eliminated.

Kind regards

You'll need to wet sand back the scratches progressively using different grades of sandpaper to fully remove scratches.

Off the shelf, Maguire's PlastX (or equivalent auto plastic cleaner for clear car headlights) does a decent job.

I did one on G4 MDD (which I still have today) with light scratches on the side, what I used was wet and dry sand paper I think I started off (been a while) 800 grit then towards 2000 grit, and polished it up with automotive cut and polish (very fine not coarse - took me a while to find the right one) with buffer wheel and it came up like new.
Cheers

I have some left over PlastX from a headlight repair kit, might have to try it on the handful of scratches my Quicksilver has...
