the trick to removing these monkeys, is to flip the pcb upside down and flow 60/40 solder into all the +/- cap joints first, then melt some on the iron
and kind of lay the iron on its side so you are melting the solder on both terminals at the same time, then you should be able to grab the cap on the top side and it should slide right out. Then you can use wick, or solder sucker or vacuum desoldering iron to clear the residual solder out of the holes.
