Nope, the little one won't work, not even in the floppy bay. You have the big one, which is the one you need. That's the Mac II drive sled for a 5.25" Half Height HDD.

What you need is a 5.25" to 3.5" HDD Adapter if that's what you're trying to install. []

Mac II was sold with a 5.25" drive (661-0391) or 3.5" drive (661-0373). See some pages from Apple Macintosh II Maintenance book :

3.5" HD bracket is the same used in Mac SE.
