Burn an OS9 ISO with Disk utility?

Hi folks

Just sold a G3 Desktop with a dead drive on ebay. Seller has a new IDE drive but he needs an OS9 CD. I have a 9.1 ISO. It's the retail version so I don't need to ResEdit anything, I think.

It's a toast image, BTW

I read somewhere that you need toast to burn a toast image to CD otherwise the system folder won't be blessed. Is that true?

I have toast 5 on my Sheepshaver VM but it doesn't work. Everything gets corrupted if I try to open anything with it. Don't know why.

So I'd rather use Disk Utility. Can I do that? AFAIK there shouldn't be any issues, as long as the partition map as APM...

He could download his own OS 9 ISO from The Macintosh Garden, which can be burnt under OS X using Disk Utility

He's French and the only image file I could find was a .toast

There's literally just ONE french OS9 install image in the wild.
