Buffalo WLIPCML11GP - PCMCIA Wifi card

Thanks. I found that page earlier today.

I actually have Wavelan silver (Newton) and tried to use the orinoco 6 driver. .. how do you open the file after expanding it. ..?

Hey I never saw this reply.  The Buffalo card works with standard Orinoco drivers, but as Bunsen was I think touching on, the lowest-level Orinoco driver I could find (which I think is 6.3) cannot be installed with under 32mb of RAM.  I don't know if it can be run with less than that - it might work with 24mb (which is what I had the time) because that will run 8.6 - which is the minimum requirement for Orinoco 6.3 as far as I can tell.

I have half a dozen different systems on my Wallstreet 292, but 8.6 is my favourite. I copied the Airport control panel (and TCP/IP IIRC) from 9.2.2 and my Orinoco Silver works perfectly under 8.6. I have my doubts if Airport will work earlier than 8.6, but it might be worth a try.

Interesting.  I just saw this, sorry.  The problem is I don't think the Buffalo uses Orinoco drivers (I tried it on the Kanga with 9.0.4 - but not 9.2.2).  I'll let you know.

Any system based off of the WaveLAN chips, I can flash to a WaveLAN Gold, whatever version of firmware you want.

Wait maybe I'm misremembering.  I have a bunch of cards, including two Wavelans.  I have one that's like an Aironet that I haven't gotten to work.  Maybe I'm totally misremembering and the Buffalo is the one I've been using with Orinoco drivers.
