That's a litttle bit unfair. These computers, and their plastic parts, are over 20+ years old now. Nothing is perfect, everything breaks down and plastics are just less durable than metal.

QFT. I remember ~2000 there were PM 52xx/53xx machines that techs I worked with hated because the tabs kept snapping off and those machines were only ~4 years old at that point. You could tell which machines had been worked on based on which had tape keeping the various covers in place.
Ive got to agree on this. On my Apple IIGS, for instance, the mouse is VERY sturdy and solid. On my Power Mac G3 the mouse is like a plastic toy. The keyboards have the same problem, however the actual computer is about the same quality.
