Barcode Scanners

Does anyone have experience with/recommendations for barcode scanners that work with Mac OS?

A lot of the barcode scanners I know of interface through ADB and essentially emulate a keyboard.

I second CelGen's post, but I would look for bar code scanners made by Symbol, one of the biggest manufacturers of scanners. Here is one made by Unitech, but doesn't appear to have any included software.

Speaking of the software does anyone have any suggestions on apps? I figured something like FileMaker Pro would be one of the most commonly used but I would welcome other suggestions for others that people have experience with.

Consider a CueCat. There's a wealth of hacking info out there about them.
