Bad PB540C screen! help!

Hi guys. I have owned my Pb540c for 20years. To my amazement it still works. The screen still works but. Was leaking some clear liquid in the center of the screen. The screen has lots of rough diagonal lines. I suspect the polarization layer is spoilt. Any solutions?

Also was thinking of speeding up the processor. That means getting anew 603e daughterboard right?

Also a quick update on the status of my PB:

- checked the overall. Everything else seem to work well. Tried to recondition the battery. failed. Took the battery out. Looked inside the battery bay and realized 2 of 4 pins inside the laptop has "corroded" away. The remaining 2 pins are coated with green oxide "rust?"

- checked my PCMCIA bay. Looks good. It's the C version. Good!!

- will try to get my hands on a CF card and backup the hard disk.
