Asante Nubus Card

I keep 10/100 switches around for the old gear since those 10Mb cards probably won't work on a GB switch.

Never had an issue with 100Mb Nubus Ethernet other than them being way slower than PC equivalent at 100Mb.

Yes I use blueSCSI. Would be nice if you can try this out.... I am currently at the end of my options.
I also tried System6 but OT is only for System7 and MacTCP has the exact the same issue as OT when I try to set to ethertalk3.
I think it's a bug with Apple-Talk.
Ethertalk sounds like you are trying to use a serial port instead of ethernet.

On the switch the light is green either for IIcx or 6100.

Seems to me that the Card itself is correctly installed. Switching the Apple-Talk from "printer" to "Ethernet Slot3" does not work on System7.
I think my switch is up to Gigabit, but I also use 10Mbit card on another PC and it's working fine, so I don't suggest the switch being the problem.

I took out the OrangePC and changed the Slot for the Asante, I also put a 10/100 switch between and the error simply stays exactly the same. So next card for testing fallaron Nubus.

BINGO!

Asante cards seem to be faulty?

Farallon even works with System6!
Next I will setup System7 as well on that Iicx.

This is my working disk image. AppleTalk works; TCP/IP probably also (I tested it with iCab, but System 7.1 is probably too old for it since it crashes). You can only ping it once MacTCP is loaded; this is not normally done on startup!

Maybe your card is indeed faulty, at least this would match the symptoms as long as the correct driver is installed (which probably is in your case)

Perhaps it's an issue with the IIcx not being 32Bit clean and NODE32 is not installed?
Regardless what the issue is, the Farallon-Card does work perfect on System6.
System7 Installation faild because of a "Network" File that is not visible but has to be overwritten and the Installer does not do that.
I will make a clean Install of SYS 6+7 the next days. Thx!
