AppleCD Plus M3021 won't mount cd's and cd-roms

for S&G, I opened my CD SC that I got awhile back, and its a sony CDU-8001 which appears to be a very different animal. 

I havent taken the physical drive apart yet because it seems more complicated than straight forward.

@bushok The connector should be fine. Just clean it with a qtip.

Yes, the original SC drive is way more complicated to work on. So many connectors...

Pulled mine all apart, No SMD caps in there. 

So that tallys up for my personal drives, I have yet to see leaking caps in a CD-Drive. 

I know they are out there as indicated in the pictures, I guess I have been lucky enough not to run into any. 

The laser lens in mine however, is VERY dirty. Gotta clean that up.
