apple onescanner? (not the x00 titled ones)

were the 'onescanner' and 'color onescanner' just slight different board/sensor gut or the two didn't really share many of the same 'build up' parts?

I mean I'm not implying that idea on purpose but I was curious about if one was to take a non-color one and transplant enough over from a color one to get working

I've done a little bit of research into this. From what I understand, internally, they should be about identical in regards to the rail, various bits and pieces, etc. Logic board will be different, along with the optical head of course. Also the bulb will be white instead of the early green style.

What's wrong with the black and white one? I've taken mine apart recently and can potentially help diagnose it. I wouldn't sacrifice a color for a black and white.
