Apple Keyboard II membrane problems

Hi!

I have an old Apple Keyboard II with some keys not working. For example, the entire column of the 2 key does not work. I opened the keyboard and I'm testing the membrane. Effectively, from one of the contacts of the 2 key to the connector, there is no conductivity. My question is… why. Looking at the trace it seems fine. For example, in this photo, the top trace from the "2" key (directly above the cotton swab) is wired to pin 3 (counting from the left) of the connector. Visually it seems good. But it's an open line, no connectivity at all. Can anyone with experience on these things shed some light?

And BTW, nobody manufacturers these membranes any more, right? May sound like a silly question, but membranes for ZX Spectrum computers are still being manufactured today, so… worth asking.

EDIT: Hummm that line of dots near the connector might not be as innocent as I thought…

Thank you,

Miguel Arroz
