Apple //e with Monitor, Unidisk, Software and Manuals

Hi all,

I just received an Apple //e that I have been waiting to receive for about 2 months now. I have to say, it is in as new condition. I can't fault the machine, even inside it looks as though it has just come out of the box. The keys have no wear, the plastics are perfect, even the Unidisk still has the label on the lever to indicate how to use it. The seller stated it was in good condition, but it is in fantastic condition. I am so happy with it! Now, if only the TAM would turn up...

Question: With the software, some of the disks load up, but when a key is pressed to start a game, etc, the screen goes blank. Is this due to the disks getting old? I tried another game, and it played perfectly. One of the pictures shows Carmen Sandiego, when I press any button to skip the demo, I get a blank screen. Any help would be great!

nice score, I just got my first apple II (an apple IIgs, along with 2 800k and and 5 1/4 floppy drives) all I need to do is get it to work :)

Nice. Looks better than mine, which has some yellowing on it. Wish I had it with me here at school. I think the one I have has 2 unidisk 5.25 drives (daisy chained of course). That and it'd be nice to have more disks, since mine has a super serial card as well (easy to transfer disk images with ADTPro). The funny things is that last time I used it (bought over summer), I was using some of my parents ancient blank SS-SD 5.25" disks (probably bought for IBM PCs) with it... They work okay for probably being over 20 years old.
