One Sunny morning in Hopewell NJ, Me an my dad went out to breakfast. As we were driving, we took the wrong road... As we drove along that [wrong] road we noticed it was yard sale day, everyone had their knick knacks and toys on the cheap till 2. Everyone was having a great time selling their stuff, we stopped and looked at some and they were all non computer related things. Then as we decided to leave, and finally go for breakfast, A golden light appeared in front of me. There on a table was an Apple //e booted up. I shouted for my dad to stop the car. I Jumped out of the car while it was partially moving, and ran to the table. There was a price tag on it, 40 $ [Which I think was great] The thing was in MINT condition and was in a basement for ever. The //E is the enhanced version, It had 2 UniDisks [Read: Not a Duodisk], A Green and Black Monochrome CRT, An Okidata 192 Printer with card. It even came with the MANUAL! It did not have any software [Any Software you have PM me, I want some! :) ] I Pored over that manual and discovered that it had a BASIC system hard coded into rom. I booted with Control+Reset, and there was a ]. I Typed "Print 'Hello World' " and it Worked! The Apple Manual was so extensive compared to the 5 Page manuals of today. It also has some type of expansion card in it (Not sure which one but I will find out.)

That's a very nice system. Just a friendly word of advice, please don't go soldering any joints together. ;)

I started at that exact same screen for 15 years

yes there should be a knob on it somewhere to make it black again, altho it might be inside, if memory serves me correct there were a couple knobs on the back available via screwdriver

also that monitor was edge to edge in its picture, so it probably needs adjustment, which would require taking off the back, which i would not suggest as it can kick you about a foot back if your not careful and something like that would almost require the monitor to be live while doing the adjustment

ask around, theres usually an old tv repairman somewhere willing to help a kid out

I fixed the problem of the CRT not outputting Edge to Edge image, there is a small know on the back.

WackyMacs: I won't solder [incorrectly ;) ] this machine this is so far my most valuable one :) .
