Apple 20SC SCSI, Plus, Keyboard and mouse

All for $30. The plus clicks when I turn it on but the 20SC works perfectly. It's loud though. I' haven't seena 20SC on ebay for under $150 in a while.

I wish I could figure out a way to use a SCSI2SD or an SSD and have the Mac still make those beeps and clicks when it accesses the drive! I love that sound. I have a Jasmine Direct Drive 20MB that makes the most exquisite sounds, not like any other drive I've ever heard. I actually just bought a second one for that alone. It brings back such good memories to hear that. Maybe I should record it and start working on an INIT that does that sort of thing.

I settled for the front blinkenlights as the power savings and lack of heat generation is a lifesaver in some Macs like the compacts, but in my Q950, let the symphony of platters continue. A while back I got a Beige G3 Server MT (w/box!) and it had three hard drivers, two of which are UWS, so the thing whirs like a jet during boot up. I am still working on restoring my NeXTStation Color, and that thing has a hard drive that sounds like it came from 1985.

Then you might be interested in this. It's a great idea and it seems anthon was planning on building such a device.

randy, that's a great find, congrats! Regarding that 20SC, if it dies, swap the HD for a SCSI2SD and break off the tabs on the top piece. Add a couple of nicely positioned magnets and you'd have a very nice SCSI2SD box with an easily swappable card. And that Plus will need new caps...

Haha! I think it DID come from 1985!

That's awesome! Good to know I'm not the only one that really likes to hear those sounds.
