That is, unless one possesses an undying passion to keep this dream alive...Fueled by my love for vintage computing and the memories these machines bring, I embarked on a personal journey to gather the vital parts and collaborate with expertise dedicated to resurrecting these essential SIMM modules. The truth is, original IIfx memory has become virtually unobtainable. With ongoing component shortages, skyrocketing tariffs, and spiraling international shipping costs, the situation has become dire. Each passing moment tightens the supply chain, leaving us uncertain if we’ll ever see another production run once the remaining components vanish.
I’m thrilled to announce that I now have 16MB SIMMs available in 128MB batches (a full set of 8 x 16MB SIMMs), meticulously crafted on the proven open-source Doug Brown 2015 PCB design.
