Whenever i try to recieve a disk image from adt pro, it keeps writing "bad blocks"

Is it *writing* bad blocks or is it just saying "bad block" on the screen? Can you post a photo of what's on the screen, or something, anything, that would make it easier for people to help you?
The reason I ask is at least my cursory reading of the ADTPro documentation suggests you *might* get a "Bad Blocks" message in the case of a garbled serial transmission. I know early models of the IIc have serial ports that can be unreliable at speeds faster than 1200 baud because they use incorrect clocking, I can't help but wonder if you're having a cable or serial port compatibility issue.

Are you booting ADTPro from a floppy or bootstrapping straight into it? If it's the latter I'm a little disinclined to blame your serial cable, though I wouldn't rule it out entirely. Are you absolutely certain the disk images you're trying to transfer are valid?

what are you trying to do - load software or write a floppy. Are you using audio or serial connection
if you are writing a floppy you could have bad floppy, floppy heads need to be cleaned or floppy drive needs to be calibrated etc etc
a few things i learnt using adt pro loading software into an apple ii using the audio method
1 : allot of the software out there does not work. Was trying to load the game elite on an apple ii. just would not work. checked leads, connections, volumes. It finally worked when i tried a fourth image from the net. so the first 3 images i downloaded were all faulty
2 when loading software into the apple from a laptop or desktop , disable all system sounds. I found that even moving the mouse, on the machine that was 'playing' the image was enough to upset the process.
After the above mentioned I found adt pro to be great and it worked every time (unless a bad disk image)

I am bootstrapping to a apple IIc, I can rule out the floppy disk because i have tried a lot of different disk, It could be the floppy drive, but I have no boot disk to test, and im not for shure that the disk image is valid, Is there a know valid one i could try?
