A trunk (and back seat) full of fun

After a long day of traveling I'm finally resting at my hotel with a trunk (pictured) and a back seat (not pictured) full of fun:

It will be pretty obvious where all this came from given the list of what I picked up.  Granted, I haven't personally tested anything yet so I'm relying on the listing but I have no reason to doubt it.

- SE (working)

- SE/30 (partially? working)

- Color Classic (assuming not working but in good shape)

- PM 5260/100 (working)

- Quadra 650 (working)

- Grape iMac G3 (working)

- Blue & White G3 (working)

- PB140 (partially? working)

- PB165c (partially? working)

- PB1400cs/117 (working)

- StyleWriter II (working)

- LW 4/600PS (working)

As a bonus, there was also something on Craigslist that just happened to be on the way that I picked up:

- Performa 575 (working) plus a whole bunch of parts (extra working motherboard, hard drive, and more I haven't had a chance to go through)

All in all, absolutely worth what will be a ~1200 mile round trip.

1200 miles? Good god, that was my trip from Canada to San Jose and back. That was four days of solid driving.

~600 miles a day isn't too bad, especially since it was all Interstate and a somewhat pretty drive to boot.  That being said the return trip today might not be as fun since I'll be trying to get back into Northern Virginia instead of out.

Is this all from that eBay auction from Tennessee?

c
That it was, except the 575 which was just Craigslist from Knoxville.

at least the price of fuel is down.
Amen to that!  $1.94/gallon to fill up leaving home and it's around $1.77 in TN.  If gas was back up at $3.50+ (or I had a diesel) this probabaly would not have been a trip I'd have made.

What are you going to do with them?

Are you going to sell off the ones you don't want?

c
Not sure; about half of the lot is duplicates of what I already have, the other half I'm not sure I want to keep.  The one in the lot I really wanted (PM 5260/100), now that I have it I realize I have no use for it.  Somehow I think that's a pretty common problem around here...

Sometimes you just gotta keep a machine for sentimental value, or collector value, though I generally try to have a purpose for my older machines. It depends on the Mac though; a Lisa I'll worry less about the utility than I might with a G4 tower.
