A PowerBook and then some more

I have been loking for a long time to find a 12" 1.5 Ghz Powerbook to repair the one I bought new in 2005 and that is pretty much worn out. Now I got a working one in pretty good condition for only 50 EUR. Neat! I'm looking forward to a refurbished 12" Powerbook 1.5 GHz, the Mac I liked most of all I ever used :)

And then, unrelated, but on the same day, I also found a SGI O2. I have not even figured out the exact model and configuration yet, but it works. Awesome, I have wanted one for the last 20 years. No Idea what I will do with it, but the look alone is worth a lot!

O2s are great machines - watch the plastics though, I'd consider the enclosures to have the same brittle thin cheap stuff as found in Macs of the same era. The clips snap without any effort.

I feared that when I used the plastic lever to pull out the mainboard. It did not come out easily, but the lever held. It"s probably a good idea to not using it often after cleaning the system.

An O2! We had one of these in my high-school imaging lab (grant funded.) You could make a 90's action movie with some decent CGI that looks better than half the stuff these days, lol.
