Heheheh, Condoms

Regarding the adjustments, they seem to drift, and the monitor is now stretched again. Maybe I adjusted it a bit too early before it got warm.
Also, the fan is wasted. Should I replace it with a new fan to give the little Mac more cooling? It has the barrel-type fan. I can use the old one as a bracket to mount a standard square fan in its place. I guess some air circulation is better than no circulation :b&w:
Below is some more details and questions regarding the machine:
The capacitor right above the yoke connector has been replaced with a new one some time during the machines lifetime at the university. It was replaced with a square type capacitor. The memory has also been upgraded to 4 MB, with 4 1 MB SIMMs. The Rodime Stepper motor HDD is the original one, with 18,7 MB usable space. Someone has installed DiskDoubler on it. It also came with After Dark, MacDraw Pro and some other things. There were some M$ programs, which I removed to save some disk space.
The Mac is running system 7.0.2, but it is not very fast. What OS is the best choice for an SE with 4 MB of RAM?
I have the original Double-sided diskettes for System 6, and the diskettes that come with the 512k(e), which is also System 6 I think. I forgot what version it is right now.
I also have a System 7 diskette set, but they are on 1,44MB floppies, and the SE cannot read them so if I nuke system 7 that is on the HDD now, I will not be able to easily go back to it.
I am very happy that I found this machine and that I saved yet another old mac from the recycle-death. Mr Jobs would be proud
