7.6.1 downsizing possible?

I seem to remember from long ago that equill (of blessed memory) spoke of a way to downsize 7.6.1 so that it works faster on slower 030 machines, much as 7.5.3 can be downsized by dumping unnecessary extensions and such. The 7.5.3 procedure is documented somewhere, probably on Gamba, but does anybody know of a similar, documented procedure for 7.6.1?

Get yourself a copy of InformINIT, and either Symbionts or Conflict Catcher. The former is a searchable document describing every known extension, control panel and other System Folder add-on for System 7 and 8. The latter two are better extensions managers than Extensions Manager.

You might also want to check out System 7 Today, and/or their forum.

Step one of course: make a backup of your system folder in case you pooch it completely
