Thanks to Defor, i now have a color active-matrix screen for my PowerBook 520 (now upgraded)

I have upgraded from the following:

PowerBook 520 Gray-Scale

25Mhz LC040

4MB RAM

250MB HDD

Dead battery

to:

PowerBook 540c Active-matrix Color Screen (Thanks Defor!)

4MB + 16MB = 20MB Total RAM

33Mhz 68LC040

250MB HDD

External Zip Drive

External 24x CD-ROM as well as an external 8x2x12 CD-RW

AAUI->10BaseT Ethernet

And thanks to Brooklyn, i picked up:

PowerBook G4 400Mhz

256MB SoDIMM, No idea on HDD, VGA, No Battery, no screen (broken screen and hinges), No keyboard Airport? (not sure) Might have superdrive. I haven't powered it up

PowerBook G4 1Ghz

1GB PC-133 SoDIMMs (512MBx2 PC-133)

No idea on the HDD, DVI (Just picked up a DVI->VGA adapter), SuperDrive, 802.11b/g Airport, No screen, Battery

Gonna try setting up the 1GHz PowerBook G4 later. I picked up a DVI->VGA adapter out at best buy (tried nebraska furniture mart and DIT, but NFM didn't have the adapter, and DIT wasn't open

Anyways, gonna install 10.5 on the 1Ghz, and see what I can do. Does anyone know if the G4 1Ghz has the antenna in the screen or the base? I might have to pickup an external Wireless adapter (PC-Card) or just use ethernet. I also have a Lucent WaveLan but it doesn't support WPA with the driver I have.

Good scores, eh?

The antennas on the PBG4 depend on whether it's a TiBook or an AlBook. The Titanium PowerBooks had the antennas in the body of the machine, and all the Aluminum PowerBooks had them under little plastic cutouts on the sides of the screen.
