6-way Video & Sound Switch -> ADB KVM/Sound Conversion?

I've been looking at converting USB KVM Switches to ADB KVM Switches and ran across this nifty Rackmount Video/Stereo Switchbox.

Interesting bit of kit for a projection setup.

The switch panel, cable harness, PSU and power distribution setup in the box is very intriguing.

Gorgonops/Eudimorphodon suggested using the switched sound ports on a USB KVM/Speaker/Mic switch for ADB. He looked at it and determined that using the USB wiring was no-go.

Looks like sound would be a no-go as well in this box.

Curious bit about the VGA switching PCB would be the unimplemented connector. First guess would be that provisions are made for KVM use right there.

Doesn't really matter though, from the looks of the ribbon cable setup, most of the lines look to be mired in sound configuration featuritis. Power/Ground distribution lines are on the 16 pin interface.

My first pass WAG is that the "switchboard" sets three bit states on the VGA switching PCB via three lines on the ribbon cable harness and that I can hijack them to set the six states on an ADB switching PCB as well. Holes for the panel mount S-Video ports are easily done. [:)] ]'>

If so, that leads me right back to the USB KVM Conversion project to figure out where to snag the two bits of switch states on a four-way KVM to do the same. [}:)] ]'>

I've been looking into PS/2 KVM conversions muuuuuch longer. Fun and games time! [:D] ]'>
