In this post you can read that I try to get a working PowerBook 100. Sometimes I succeed, but in 2013 the fact is that they are all dead now...But....
Finally I now have a "real working" Powerbook 100!! Our forum member Uniserver was so friendly to do the caps repair. I picked a working screen and put it together with my last working hard disk, a 40 MB Conner. And it works fine. If the hard disk will fail in the end I will replace it by a Monster SCSI/CF card, but for now the hard disk is working.
So what do I learn from all of this. If your PowerBook is failing, like booting without anything on the screen... RECAP. If your screen is totally yellow or purple..... RECAP.
I didn't recap my LCD screen. That could prove the weak point, but if it fails I will also RECAP this part!
For this weekend it is only with the help of my MacIPgw and can be reached on http://mac.vanegten.com
