512k with very unique fan

I got this 521k a few years back from my local Craigslist.  It has a Mac Rescue board in it with an unknown amount of ram.

The fan seems like major overkill; it is massive for the size of the unit - about 4 inches across on the side of the unit.  Here are the pics hosted on my website as the image posting here seems to be broken at the moment.

The addition of the plug in for the fan on the analog board seems pretty solid work.  The case mod is a little hinky aesthetically, but otherwise solid.

It is giving me a sad Mac error 020020 - anyone know what that means?

I think that 020020 means that you have a RAM error at location F10. You have to change the RAM chip. Old RAM chips somtimes fail.

Yea, that makes sense.  I think sometimes the SIMM contacts just get a little oxidation on them.  I remember years ago when I would try to fire up my apple II plus when it was 15 or 20 years old, I would have to pull out and re-seat all the chips that were in sockets as they no longer made good contact.  Perhaps it is the same thing here.  I'll give it a shot.  If not, I have plenty of SIMMs to replace them with.

And ... sure enough, that was it.  SIMMs all tested good in my SIMMCHECK and just re-seating them allowed the system to boot.  It has a very bright and crisp screen and 2M ram with the MacRescue.
