1987 Memory Plus SE Interface REV A

I was recently gifted a Macintosh SE, and it contains what appears to be a memory expansion board, with a cable leading off to a 9 pin external port.

The label on the board is 1987 Memory Plus SE Interface REV A

Anyone heard of one of these before?

I did some googling and no luck.

My guess is it's a memory expansion board, but I'm not sure what the 9 pin port is for, perhaps some type of serial connector?

Sounds like it could be a video card for an external mono (TTL) monitor. Many of them used a 9-pin connector, and the SE can't address more than 4MB of memory anyway so there wouldn't be any obvious reason to make a memory board for it. Post a photo?

I'll second that TTL VidCard guess. Also wondering if could be a Compact Virtual powered powered memory expansion board. PB100 and Luggable both addressed 8MB directly, so CV might not be even necessary to address 8MB on the SE? 68030 Accelerators with CV powered SIMMs on board probably wouldn't have bothered with upping the MoBo limit, curious about that.

PB100 video out board was RAM slot interfaced, could be a two birds with one stone kinda deal?

Pics please!
