15" AlBook G4 Won't Power On

It would help to know exactly what happens when you close the lid. Does it not go to sleep, or does it not wake up? The latter is a symptom of power manager corruption, meaning it is reset time.

Hi,

The screen stays lit when the lid is closed. It does not sleep.

I did some reading, and found that it could be due to a misaligned sleep sensor magnet.

Any other thoughts? Could a disconnected sleep sensor cause the same problem?
