For quite a while, macintosh floppy drive sound effects were kind of the go-to for computer sounds. I couldn't name any names offhand, but it was always amusing to see a character working on a PC while it made sounds like a mac plus.
Given the state of the plastics on the 5200/5400 (and others) we're all going to need something like this eventually.
Yours has a nice Fisher-Price/Play-Doh sort of color scheme going for it
BTW, one of our members here is selling a few keyboards at a price you'll certainly not see on Ebay. If I thought I might need a keyboard in the near future, I'd jump all over it.
Your 630 has 4mb soldered in, with a simm socket that will accept up to a 32mb simm, so yes, you're maxed out.
The 630 came in a CD configuration which used an internal SCSI connection, so that's an option; also there's an external SCSI connection, so bluescsi or zuluscsi or any of the others...
These guys have a wide range of adapters for iPod flash storage. At a quick glance, the oldest models I saw were 3rd gen, but maybe they have something for 2nd gen.
Given the scarcity of click wheel iPods, maybe it would be worthwhile to install an OS X partition to support somewhat later...
My Portable is unlikely to ever be... ported; it's mostly for display and occasionally to mess around with. So I don't want to have to maintain batteries, even relatively long-lasting and low-maintenance ones.
I guess there's a lid for every pot.

In the interest of providing alternatives...
All this was a lot easier back in the day when we all just exchanged floppy disks and lots of folks had lots of various macs that could readily talk to the Plus. All of that is different now; newer systems just don't exchange information the same way, and even the basic assumptions of how a...
One of the tricky bits to watch out for is if you're booting a Plus from a Zip disk with version 4.2 of the boot driver on it, but then stick that disk into your G3 (or whatever) which has a later version of the driver loaded, it will automatically over-write the 4.2 driver on the disk with...
Could be that trying to connect to the VPN which is no longer valid is causing the hang, and also preventing a normal internet connection. I'd reset all the network configuration and find whether there's an app or extension for the VPN and disable it. I've never dealt with a VPN and don't have...
