Apple Extended Keyboard [AEK Numero Uno] - Great Keyboard? Or *Greatest* Keyboard?

Nice pics, but that adds up to 1/2" larger in each dimension, not to mention max height. IMO, it's the AEK's Snow White design stripes and angularity that give it that Nimitz Class look-n-feel. Rolling deck but love mechanical switch feel. Espresso Design Language curvature in the ADK with its...

Cloning a 33MHz 68030 Upgrade for Mac II

Apparently Motorola made the MC68020RC33 that, if found, might be used in a Performer Type 2x CPU accelerator? Overcoming the 68030 hurdle seems a bit of a less hassle than finding one of those . . . or in quantity.

Can any useful emulation run on a Raspberry Pi Zero? CM4? CM5?

Thanks much, should have taken that suggestion when you made it the first time. But have been way too distracted of late but settling down a bit. Hadn't thought KVM switch hookup would be much of a issue in the Pi community? You "randos" have been incredibly helpful here, many thanks!

Apple Extended Keyboard [AEK Numero Uno] - Great Keyboard? Or *Greatest* Keyboard?

Same here, but probably my favorite it the Radius branded ADK style version that came with the Radius 81/110. Dunno how, but somehow it feels just right to me in the Sleeping Beauty Wars over AEK size in one theater and feel of the IBM ClackMonseter in the other.

Can any useful emulation run on a Raspberry Pi Zero? CM4? CM5?

Thanks, guys, might there be any problem with putting it on a KVM switch? I have tree way USB model that has (whatever it's called) feature that hoodwinks the three into thinking they're still the only one hooked up. It was great to see that feature has finally dropped into less stratospheric...

Anyone thought to make a tool for this?

    That's a nice kit.

Can any useful emulation run on a Raspberry Pi Zero? CM4? CM5?

HRMMM, will a Pi power up automatically when power is applied? Sure as heck it'll drop dead when power is cut . . . or is there an orderly shutdown process? ;)

Contact the WOZ? Apple affiliated members? Woz.org folks? re: SWIM release.

Yep, been wondering why nothing has been done, even on that front? Asking the guy who headed up the SWIM development team for help seems the thing top do, but everyone says no? I don't even know what questions to ask, but networking has almost always worked out well for me.

Almost. fully awake for this one!🙃 ISTR posts much lamenting the lack of a functional SWIM replacement. The FPGA thing was the first example that came to mind. It's a chance for woz to pass something down to the retro community, might just give it a whirl?

IDK, is that enough to actually get the job of cloning the chip in FPGA or the like done?

Enough further info to actually clone the dang thing?

Running parallel threads here and at TinkerDifferent, so please excuse crosstalk via copy/past in my responses. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hence that suggestion that he might find recreation/cloning his namesake...

Contact the WOZ? Apple affiliated members? Woz.org folks? re: SWIM release.

I've long suggested contacting woz to see if he'd release (or recreate) SWIM for the community: We're of an age and thinking it might be a significant addition to his legacy. He's far deep into education and tech talent development thru woz.org. So thinking would be that giving folks young and...

Can any useful emulation run on a Raspberry Pi Zero? CM4? CM5?

Thanks for the suggestion, makes a lot of sense, but went with the Zero with antenna connector installed. That alone is worth the performance hit for my purposes. The soldered GPIO header was the first deal killer, lowest profile possible wanted for PowerBook 100 and Duo Pi-Resurrection. For...

Can any useful emulation run on a Raspberry Pi Zero? CM4? CM5?

Nice! I won't have the cubic worries of doing a PowerBook PiPower resurrection for playtime. I can just leave the MDD LeafBlower unplugged! A basic (copper cladding free) perf board "PCI Card" will let me do whatever I want on my daily driver's KVM Setup.

Can any useful emulation run on a Raspberry Pi Zero? CM4? CM5?

So when my MDD/FW400 OS9 Special Edition gives up the ghost with no G4 PortlyTower as my habitual backup/upgrade path . . . . . . I can drop whatever Pi Compute Module I/O Expansion Board combo is compatible with emulation in there and . . . :ROFLMAO:

Blue PRAM Battery Leaked! Radius 81/110 victim and assorted questions . . .

Yep! Dunno if I can get it together before the batteries arrive in four days, but it ain't too ugly. There's nothing but traces under the perf board/standoffs, that red IC is as close as it gets. I'll use the taller standoffs so I can desolder the ProtoBoard and install the custom board in 20...

Apple Extended Keyboard [AEK Numero Uno] - Great Keyboard? Or *Greatest* Keyboard?

I used both Nimitz Class Apple KBDs at the NYMUG office, not all that impressed. Much prefer the sleeker VT-100 styled ALPS keyswitch enclosing look and feel of the DataDesk 101 upgrade I did for the MacSignMaker SE/Radius16 workstation. Wore one or two out over a 17 year span. Now I've got them...

Can any useful emulation run on a Raspberry Pi Zero? CM4? CM5?

Looks like I found it: 10.1" IPS WXGA 1280x800 HDMI Panel for Pi I'll need to do the new opening just above the speaker grille and fill in the cracks, that'll be out of alignment, but planning a darker gray paint job anyway. PB100's 1400c KBD upgrade won't fit in the Duo, but hoping a full on...
