First set of my Marchintosh project's parts arrived today. Used longer standoffs for the pic both for Illustration and reference. Use of the shorter variety will set the pretty black PCB low enough to insert the clipped leads for soldering the whole thing down. I think I've seen little self adhesive rubber button feets for them? Cells are being excised for storage when I pack everything up in it until Marchintosh.


Has anyone seen a Mouser or DigiKey listing for a Macintosh II caps order? IIsi order listing for practice meanwhile?

At least the machine will be usable, and it doesn't require any actual modification to the computer.

Yep! Dunno if I can get it together before the batteries arrive in four days, but it ain't too ugly.



There's nothing but traces under the perf board/standoffs, that red IC is as close as it gets. I'll use the taller standoffs so I can desolder the ProtoBoard and install the custom board in 20 years . . .

. . . if I can manage that at 92!
