    New to me Apple][e collection.

OK, got stuff pulled together and initially set up, and also pulled some of the extra stuff out of the box and look through it. This is a pretty amazing and crazy collection! Unfortunately, the floppy emu I have does not have the Apple II disk emulation loaded on it as it was being used with a...

    New to me Apple][e collection.

    Got a blue/white G3 tower for 50 bucks. Freezing MacOS 9.2

I could paint it black like Action Retro's old totally weird modded black se/30 with the odd drives shoved in. Rolling Stones style. But, .... no. ;)

    Got a blue/white G3 tower for 50 bucks. Freezing MacOS 9.2

I will at some point. I have a rainbow apple one that has a q key that sticks and wants to keep ghost typing, but once I get that fixed, and use it with my SE/30, it will open up another one I have for use with the G3. All my ADB are beige though. I guess they all are.

    Got a blue/white G3 tower for 50 bucks. Freezing MacOS 9.2

I did re-seat all the RAM and the machine seems to work fine now. I will likely to a clean install anyway, starting with a Power Mac G3 install CD I bought and then updating to 9.2. It currently does not have a battery. I will change that later in some way or another. Thanks for the help so...

68030 Classic Macs as Synths/music development and performance -

VINTAGE SYNTHESIZER/MIDI/LIGHT SHOW STUFF: First, let me know if this fits better somewhere else. Like the Compact Mac forum. Interested in in using old machines to create/modify/use synthesizer sounds to make music, and potentially also control lights. Not sure what I will ever do with...

Mac IIvx at local recycler. Couldn’t help it.

Ok, will consider that also. All in time. I will have a nice little collection, but not sure I need to have every iteration of beige, so may not need ann 040 machine as I have a Beige G3, unless I start a local museum or something when I retire. But will keep an open mind.

Does a Quadra 610 motherboard work? Or a 640AV? Never mind. Answered my own question and the answer is a no.

G4 Powermac Graphite and Silver (?) with display for 50 bucks. Fires up anyway.

OK, had a chance to mess around with this one a little bit this morning along with the monitor that came with it, with the broken leg I’ll have to figure out how to fix, and gotta say, pretty happy for 50 bucks!

G4 Powermac Graphite and Silver (?) with display for 50 bucks. Fires up anyway.

Ok, great. I saw at least one of the regular apple mod/repair guys on YouTube simply replacing with the same style on newer machines and wondered about that. That company has a convenient location in Boise, where I am half the time, so will pick one up there.

Mac IIvx at local recycler. Couldn’t help it.

Ok, after initial opening, and pulling the battery, and hearing some good ideas here, going to look into this a while and figure out what to do with it eventually. A large part of my reasoning was using it to learn to recap and repair a board decently, and I don't have time to attend a class...
