I acquired a Performa 580 today. OS 8.0 16 MB ram, still has 84 MB free in the HD (loaded with applications too).
Case is decent shape with no cracks or broken corners. Amazing what some people leave on an abandoned computer....
It started life as a 128K but had the "memory upgrade" installed which consisted of a new logic board and back cover. I have a 512K that has this upgrade.
Nice score BTW :)

I just bought a USB turntable last week. Great to have the old vinyl but it will be nice to be able to load the music into the iPod :)
Got it at Costco for C$138.00 which is the best price I have seen for these units. I haven't tried it yet due to some other ongoing projects.

I was in a thrift store today and found a TRS-80 Pocket Computer (PC-4) for $12.00. It has it's pouch so it's in good shape cosmetically and appears to work.
Thanks MacMan and jkoci - I put a 3v cheater on the PRAM terminals and it booted right up. System 7.5.3 Rev 2 and 36 MB RAM. 160 MB HDD.
It has QuarkXPress 3.31 on it. I am looking forward to trying that out...
Today I found OS/2 v 2.1 on 5.25" foppy as well as "Aces of the Pacific" which is some kind of flight simulator / war game (this one is still shrink wrapped!). Gotta love thrift shops :)
