If your broken screen is a LG, then no prob, the display cable you have with it will do with your working LG screen. If your broken screen is a Samsung, then you must find a Samsung display cable. I think there was another third screen brand too, not sure. Anyways, each goes with their own...

Hi Techknight,  I tried changing the ram on that Kanga, still same problem, very dim screen. Like a failing backlit, but its not that as I swapped screen with known good one already… Also this Kanga doesn’t want to zap pram, or boot in OF… (yes the PRAM batteries are removed).

I have the same backlite problem with a kanga (witch really annoys me cause... its a Kanga). Also swapped screen, same result. must be a component on the board, but which one ?... Like Bibilit said very few capacitors on these machines, 2 or 3 on the PMU board.

Congrat !! Very cool resin screen. I tried the exact same thing some time ago, but i couldn't get the resin to stay clear . I think it was the resin i used (too old). I still have the silicon mold though.

Not the all hinges assembly . Only the hinge part that fixes on the main body ( the one that most often breaks ) , this one : These are 12.1" hinges. The upper part that fixes in the display assembly is again different for the 13.3" and 14.1". For example, here is a 14.1" hinge I think...

Hi, Is there an easy way, or a utility , to extract the just the icons resources from file system or an application ? I know how to do that with ResEdit, but it's a bit time consuming to copy each icon resources to iconographer to make an icon file... was wonder if there was an more "automatic"...
