Why Was The 68030 Ignored By Game Companies ?

There were even some extensions that Apple created for the PPC Macs that were supposed to do something similar to what DirectX did for gaming on the PC ....
Was it "Sprockets" , maybe ? lol

If I'm not mistaken, sprockets weren't created by Apple, but licensed by Apple for use on the Macintosh platform. I forget who it was who created them. I recall reading it in one of my old Macintosh magazines -- MacUser, MacWorld, The Mac, Mac Format, or Mac Addict.
