Maybe some parts, someday. They came with boxes upon boxes of goodies. For now, I'm having fun watching this guy try to sell his ROM card, unsuccessfully, for weeks on end:I wonder if they will end up on ebay.
Yep, I snagged 'em. No pictures... it would just make you guys drool. 3 machines, 3 RGB monitors, A RAMFast SCSI card, tons of D/A converter cards and cables, drives drives drives, a pile of books, ... enough to make SWMBO bonkers. I had to immediately spirit the stuff away in four different closets just to keep the peace in the house. I'm working on the accelerators now, and put together a machine for a friend who wanted to get into the whole GS scene.Oh, so you snagged them? Have any pictures?
You're a lucky guy David. I wouldn't have minded being able to snag one. My GS at home is bare bones, with the exception of a 4mb memory card I bought from Macdog. I figure I'm going to see about adding either a CFFA card or a Micro/IDE drive over Christmas. I'd also like to eventually add an accelerator, just so GS/OS will be more usable, of course I mainly use the GS for gaming.Yep, I snagged 'em. I don't know about that... a friend pointed me to the first Craigslist ad, and I turned my nose up at it. I didn't even follow up until the ad ran for the second time, having gotten zero hits the first time. Turns out the seller was a only a mile from where I work, so it all just kind of worked out. You're a lucky guy David.
I'm going to keep what's left for parts. I gave the best one to a friend, and of the two left, one has "the incredible shrinking picture" problem. The other has some pretty serious GSOS screen burn-in. Given that the one I currently use makes hideous noises when I turn it on, I'm going to put together one good one out of the parts I can scavenge from what I have left!Is it possible you can sell me one with the cable for my Apple II gs?
