If you have such a problem with people quoting uncontrollably, why not just PM them to stop doing it so much? Instead of ruining it for the rest of us?
Exactly my point! We're not forced to post here, so once it becomes to hard to do so you may lose users.It's not like you're being paid to post more often or to be able to post very quickly.
Look at it this way: pretend this is the real internet again, not the WWW, where it was common practice to actually read through a newsgroup's posting threads and the signal to noise ratio was far better than it has become here with all the nested full length quotes.Having the exact same post made by 10 different people and all of them being responded to with basically the same reply adds to the clutter more than one big post containing an entire conversation
By reading it?how is someone supposed to easily follow the flow of the conversation?

All decisions are final and should, under no circumstances, be the subject of open debate on the forums. I'm feeling a distinct sense of déja vu...Perhaps if people could easily edit their posts they could tidy up some of their quotes?
