So much Apple II software and nothing to use it on

I have just uncovered all my Apple II software and would dearly love to access it again, currently a working Apple IIc (no monitor) for sale at around $479 (AU), would this be a good option or what would people recommend ?

Attached some photos, are the old Floppy 5 1/4 worth any value??

An Apple //c would be fine. You can take the composite output and hook it up to a tv. As to the value of the 5.25 floppies, the ones that are original, not copies, might be worth something. It just depends on what they are and whether you have the documentation that came with them.

An Apple IIe might be available cheaper. Definitely hang on to those 5.25 inch disks!

$479 seems high for a //c, but I'm not familiar with the Australian market. Looking on eBay, it doesn't look like there're a lot of options for Apple II stuff. So I guess it's just much rarer over there.

Keep in mind if untested for years, I'd place bets several of those 5.25" floppies don't work, but usually the original disks have more longevity than the blanks filled with random stuff.

Perhaps stating the obvious but the exchange rate is around 300USD to 479AUD.

However I would rather have a IIe or IIe platinum. If I could only own one apple II, a IIc would be the bottom of the list. There's just way too much fun to be had with the expansion slots.

Prices have gone so insane, I'm glad I got my IIe when I did (I don't remember exactly, but back in 2012-2013, it only cost maybe $200~$250, which included the IIe, two disk drives, a composite monitor, and some other stuff I now forget. I feel like I'd be lucky to get the IIe by itself for double that price nowadays).

I was even luckier than that. Sep of last year I drove over to Dayton, Oh and came home with a Apple IIe and a monitor. It came with an 80/64k card, of course, two super serial cards, a mouse card, which I have a Shining Mouse I can use with it. Also came with an Apple 5.25 drive and a Laser 5.25 drive and the 5.25 drive controller card. I've since added a Dan II card in slot seven. Also got a ROM 03 GS and monitor. Tons of GS software on 3.5 disks. All of this for free as the gentleman had to downsize since he was moving.

Yes I would truly want a IIe, I will keep looking, I have held the disks for 40 years! I can wait.
