Anything specific you are looking for? There are already plenty of topics with links that should be useful/helpful. Don't forget the Search feature of this forum can help you find existing topics that may help.

Hello,

so I am looking for:

Myst 68k and MacOS8.0 not 8.1. MacOS8.1 hast problems with an 68060.

There is no such thing as a 68060 - The last one was the 050.

The last one macs used was the 040

A quick search of my HD found an 8.0 installer, it's being uploaded right now. I will post the link when it's done

EDIT: I just remembered that there is a Myst CD in one of my stacks of disks... dunno if its 68k compatible, though.

Whoops! I fell asleep at the computer and it locked up when entering sleep mode 8-o

So now i have to re-upload it because I don't have the link... :D

This time i'm zipping it, so I won't have to upload a whole CD over the if-fy connection of whoever's wifi that I'm using... :D

EDIT: Actually, I'l just find a existing link.

Nice to see I am not the only Mac-emulating 68k Amiga-User here. To make it run, you can either deactivate superscalar mode of 68060 (can easily be done from within Fusion and I think it's even deactivated by default on latest Version of ShapeShifter) or you can buy a newer 68060 (i.e. Rev E41J), because the newer version doesn't have that bug anymore (I have it and it works just fine with Fusion, OS8.1 and Superscalar enabled).

By the way: There NEVER has been a 68050, as far as I know.

...errr, yes, and as far as Myst is concerned:

1. This games IMHO sucks!

2. There is an amiga-port of myst anyway.

Myst is not for everyone. Just because you don't like it, suck at it, or find it boring, doesn't mean the game itself "sucks". The graphics were truly amazing for its time, as was the soundtrack and sound effects. Top-notch stuff.

The 68050 would have been a 68040 with some bugs fixed, which didn't really warrant a new name so it was sold as a 68040.

The abbreviation IMHO is short for "In My Humble Opinion", that's why I DID use it. I like adventures in general, but I think this game is rather crap (and I am not talking about the technical aspect), but neither did I want to express dislike for people who like this game, nor did I want to hurt their feelings.

Anyway, we are getting off-topic...
